Eat Alive And You Will Thrive

To achieve optimal health and energy, you need to know the difference between "dead" foods and "living" foods.

What are dead foods?

Yuri ElkaimSimply put, dead foods are foods that have been cooked. They have lost their highly beneficial "life-defining" enzymes and their life energy. They have been stripped of the majority of their vitamins, minerals, and cancer preventing phytonutrients. It is well known that heat causes chemical changes in food.

Many naturopathic doctors even say that "cooking food creates a host of compounds that the body is not designed to metabolize."

After all, we are the only creatures on earth who cook their foods – we also exhibit the most disease – while 99.99 percent of the plant foods on our planet are available in their raw state.

In fact, it has been shown that cooking a potato creates more than 400 known, unknown, and dangerous compounds.

Eating food that has been cooked above 200 degrees Fahrenheit causes a pathogenic response in the body called leukocytosis, whereby the white blood cells (immune cells) are actually used to digest foods, much as they would attack foreign substances. This has been confirmed in hundreds of experiments and the research of Swiss scientist Paul Kouchakoff. Such conditions further predispose the body to development of food allergies, sensitivities, and a hyperactive immune system.

What are living foods and why are they so powerful?

Living foods are raw foods.

Raw foods are full of enzymes, energy and "juice." They have not been cooked, and they possess all the health-enhancing nutrients and life energy. Enzymes, energy, and juice make your body and its systems more energetic and "juicier."

With more of these living foods you begin to display a juicy zest for life that you don't experience when eating "dead" (cooked) foods. Whatever results you're looking for, they will more easily come into your life with the energy you'll have eating energy-rich raw foods.

Experience has shown that eating more raw foods also brings you back into touch with your food instincts, thus allowing you to select more precisely which foods your body needs.
